Website Terms of Use, Direct Booking Terms, Participation Rules, Package Travel Conditions and Digital Content Terms
Last updated: 20 August 2026
These terms are intended to operate as a modular agreement. Only the Parts relevant to the product, service, booking channel or Website feature used by the customer apply. Mandatory consumer rights always prevail.
Part I – General Information
1. Do Eat Better
These terms concern the Website and the food tours, themed walking tours, cooking classes, tastings, other food, beverage and cultural experiences, package travel products, e-books, recipes, subscriptions and other digital content or digital services offered by Do Eat Better S.r.l.
The company details are:

Email: hello@doeatbetter.com
Do Eat Better S.r.l. is referred to as “Do Eat Better”, the “Company”, “we”, “us” or “our”. A purchaser or Website user is referred to as the “customer”, “traveller”, “participant”, “user”, “you” or “your”, as appropriate.
Do Eat Better may offer, market, operate or communicate its Website, Experiences, Packages, Digital Products or other services under the brand or trading name “That’s All Local”. Unless the applicable product information, booking confirmation or contract expressly identifies a different contracting party, use of the That’s All Local brand, name, logo, Website, email, voucher or other communication does not create a separate legal entity or change the identity of the contracting party: the contracting party remains Do Eat Better S.r.l. References to “That’s All Local” in connection with products or services supplied or sold by Do Eat Better shall therefore be understood as references to Do Eat Better S.r.l., where appropriate.
2. Modular application
These terms are divided as follows:
- Part II applies to food tours, themed walking tours, cooking classes and similar Experiences booked directly with Do Eat Better.
- Part III contains participation, health, safety and conduct rules for Experiences.
- Part IV contains general legal provisions.
- Part V governs use of www.thatsalllocal.com.
- Part VI applies only to a product expressly identified and legally qualifying as a Package.
- Part VII applies to e-books, restricted recipe libraries, subscriptions and other Digital Products.
Specific product information, the booking confirmation, a Package technical sheet, a subscription plan or other specific written conditions may supplement these terms. Mandatory law and specific conditions expressly provided for a product prevail over inconsistent general provisions.
3. Direct and reseller bookings
A “Direct Booking” is made through thatsalllocal.com, including where the Website or service is presented under the That’s All Local brand, by email or through another sales channel operated by Do Eat Better. Direct customers must receive these terms before the booking becomes binding. By completing a Direct Booking after receiving them, the customer accepts the applicable Parts.
Where an Experience or Package is booked through an online travel agency, marketplace, travel agency, tour operator, hotel, concierge, affiliate, distributor or other reseller, the reseller’s terms govern formation, payment, fees, amendments, cancellations and refunds handled by that reseller.
A reseller customer is not considered to have accepted Do Eat Better’s Direct Booking conditions merely because they are published on our Website. However, Part III – Participation and Safety Rules applies to every participant in an Experience, regardless of whether the booking was made directly with Do Eat Better, through a reseller, by another member of the group or through any other booking channel. Every participant must comply with all applicable allergy, dietary, health, safety, conduct and operational rules and with reasonable instructions communicated before or during the Experience. Allergy and dietary rules apply whenever food or beverages are included, offered, handled or consumed. These rules do not retrospectively change a reseller’s commercial conditions or reduce mandatory consumer rights.
Part II – Direct Booking Conditions for Experiences
4. Scope
This Part applies to Direct Bookings for walking food tours, themed walking tours, cooking classes, tastings and comparable food, beverage, sightseeing or cultural activities (“Experiences”). A themed walking tour may focus on history, culture, architecture, neighbourhoods, local traditions or another subject and need not include food or beverages. Experiences may be performed directly by Do Eat Better or wholly or partly by independent local operators, guides, chefs, restaurants, venues and other professional suppliers appointed by us.
Unless expressly stated otherwise before purchase, Do Eat Better is the contracting party for a Direct Booking even when suppliers perform all or part of the Experience.
5. Eligibility and authority
The person booking must be at least 18, have legal capacity and authority to book, provide accurate information, ensure payment is authorised and communicate the relevant participation rules to everyone included in the booking. A parent or legal guardian must authorise a booking for a minor and provide any required consent on the minor’s behalf.
6. Contract formation and booking details
A booking request is an offer to purchase the selected Experience. A binding contract is formed when Do Eat Better receives the required payment and issues confirmation.
The customer must promptly check the Experience, date, time, city, meeting point, language, participants, fare type, dietary or accessibility information and contact details. Errors must be reported to hello@doeatbetter.com without delay.
The customer is responsible for providing a correct email address and telephone number and checking spam or junk folders. We are not responsible for notices not received because the customer supplied inaccurate or incomplete contact information.
7. Prices and payment
The price includes only what the product description expressly lists. Unless stated otherwise, transportation to and from the meeting point, personal purchases, extra food or drinks, gratuities and other additional services are excluded.
Applicable taxes and any Do Eat Better booking or payment fees will be included or displayed as required by law. A bank, card issuer or payment provider may apply conversion or foreign-transaction charges for which it is independently responsible.
We may correct an obvious pricing, description or availability error. If a correction materially affects a confirmed Direct Booking, the customer may accept it or cancel the affected booking for a refund of the amount paid to Do Eat Better.
8. Tickets and prohibited resale
Electronic tickets or vouchers may be issued to the email supplied. They are valid only for the stated Experience, date, time and number of participants. Unless we expressly agree otherwise, tickets may not be commercially resold, duplicated, fraudulently used or used by more participants than booked. We may cancel a ticket obtained or used through fraud or unauthorised resale and refuse admission, subject to mandatory law.
9. Promotions
Promotional or discount codes must be used during booking, cannot be applied retrospectively or exchanged for cash, are subject to their stated validity and restrictions, and may not be combined unless expressly permitted. Fraudulent or unauthorised use may result in cancellation of the promotion or booking.
10. Base and Smart fares
Base Fare. A Base Fare cannot be cancelled, changed or refunded, except where mandatory law or the product page provides otherwise.
Smart Fare. A Smart Fare may be cancelled or changed up to 24 hours before the scheduled starting time. After that deadline no cancellation, change or refund is available. Changes remain subject to availability. A higher replacement price must be paid; a lower price does not create a partial-refund right unless we agree otherwise.
Requests must be sent to hello@doeatbetter.com with the booking reference and become effective when received.
Private, corporate and group bookings may have specific deposits, minimum spends and cancellation terms disclosed before booking; those specific terms prevail.
11. Reseller cancellations
Cancellation, amendment and refund requests for bookings paid through a reseller must be made to that reseller. The fare and policy shown by the reseller at purchase apply. Do Eat Better cannot directly refund money collected by a reseller unless authorised to do so. Reseller fees are refundable only under the reseller’s conditions and mandatory law.
12. Gift cards and credits
Gift cards, credits and promotional vouchers, where offered, are subject to the conditions displayed when issued. Unless otherwise stated or required by law, they cannot be exchanged for cash; promotional vouchers have no cash value; and a customer must pay any amount exceeding the available balance. Mandatory rules on expiry, refunds and transfer remain unaffected.
13. Withdrawal from dated Experiences
Where an Experience is a leisure service scheduled for a specific date or period, the statutory 14-day withdrawal right for certain distance contracts does not apply in accordance with Article 59 of the Italian Consumer Code. Applicable cancellation policies and mandatory rights remain in force.
Part III – Participation and Safety Rules
14. Nature of Experiences
Experiences may include urban walking, guided sightseeing or commentary on historical, cultural, architectural, neighbourhood or other themes, visits to restaurants, markets, monuments, public spaces and workshops, food preparation, tasting and consumption, alcoholic beverages and the use of knives, cookers, ovens, hot surfaces and other equipment. The elements actually included are those stated in the applicable product description and booking confirmation. Participants are not required to drive or use their own vehicles.
Walking may involve public roads, crossings, stairs, crowds, weather and uneven, wet or slippery surfaces. Routes, venues, menus, recipes, guides, timings and duration may change for reasonable operational, seasonal, availability, health or safety reasons, provided the essential nature of the Experience is not materially altered.
Images, menus and serving sizes are illustrative.
15. Health and accessibility
Participants must assess whether their health and physical condition are compatible with an Experience and seek medical advice if unsure. Do Eat Better and its suppliers do not provide medical advice.
Reduced mobility, disability, pregnancy, medical conditions or other requirements affecting participation must be disclosed in advance. Unless confirmed in writing, an Experience is not guaranteed to be step-free, fully accessible or suitable for every condition.
We may refuse or discontinue participation where reasonably necessary for safety, including when a condition is incompatible with the activity, essential instructions are ignored, a person creates risk or a relevant requirement was not disclosed. A refund is determined under the applicable Direct Booking or reseller conditions and mandatory law.
16. Allergies and dietary requirements
Where an Experience includes food or beverages, the rules in this section apply to every participant, irrespective of who made the booking and whether the Experience was purchased directly from Do Eat Better or through a reseller. All allergies, intolerances, coeliac disease and medical or dietary requirements must be disclosed fully and accurately when booking. Updates for Direct Bookings must be sent promptly to hello@doeatbetter.com with the booking reference. For reseller bookings, the reseller’s designated procedure should be used; if transmission is uncertain, the participant should also contact Do Eat Better.
The lead booker must collect and communicate the requirements of all participants. At the beginning of the Experience, each affected participant must remind the guide or chef before handling or consuming food. Disclosure at that stage may be too late to arrange an alternative.
Disclosure does not guarantee that an ingredient or allergen will be absent. Food may be prepared or served where allergens are present, and cross-contact may occur. Ingredients, suppliers, recipes and processes may change without prior notice.
Even where an alternative is proposed, the participant remains responsible for deciding whether to handle or consume an item. Participants must ask about ingredients, avoid anything doubtful, carry prescribed medication or emergency devices and immediately report a reaction.
17. Severe allergies
A participant with a severe or potentially life-threatening allergy must assess, with medical advice where appropriate, whether participation involving shared kitchens, utensils or serving facilities is safe.
Do Eat Better may refuse or cancel participation if, after considering the Experience and reasonably available information, the relevant food cannot be provided or handled with an acceptable level of safety. For an accepted Direct Booking cancelled by us on this basis, the affected participant will receive a reasonable alternative or refund. For a reseller booking, alternatives and refunds are handled under the reseller process and mandatory law.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Do Eat Better is not liable for consequences caused by undisclosed, incomplete, inaccurate or late information; voluntary consumption despite warning or uncertainty; failure to follow instructions or carry prescribed medication; or supplier information changed or omitted without our knowledge, unless legally attributable to us.
Nothing excludes mandatory food-safety, allergen-information or other non-excludable obligations.
18. Health data
Allergy, disability and medical information may be special-category personal data. It may be processed to assess requirements, communicate with relevant guides, operators, chefs and venues, manage safety, respond to emergencies and comply with law. It will be handled under the Do Eat Better Privacy Policy. Separate explicit consent will be requested where required.
19. Ordinary risks
Participation and consumption are voluntary. Ordinary risks may include weather, walking, public roads, uneven surfaces, crowds, slips, falls, cuts, burns, choking, foodborne illness, cross-contact, allergic reactions and conduct of other participants or third parties.
Participants must exercise reasonable care, comply with pedestrian rules, remain attentive and follow safety instructions. Nothing excludes liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, gross negligence, mandatory obligations or other liability that cannot legally be excluded.
20. Emergencies
In an actual or suspected emergency, the participant authorises Do Eat Better and relevant personnel to contact emergency services, communicate reasonably relevant information, facilitate assistance and contact the emergency contact supplied. This does not require unqualified personnel to provide medical treatment. We do not guarantee emergency-service availability or response time. Unless law provides otherwise, the participant is responsible for medical, ambulance, transport and repatriation costs.
21. Cooking classes
Knives, appliances, ovens, cookers and hot surfaces must be used only as instructed. A participant must immediately say if an instruction is unclear, a task feels unsafe, equipment is unfamiliar or an injury or reaction occurs. A chef or venue may prevent a task or equipment use where reasonably necessary for safety.
22. Conduct
Participants must behave respectfully. We may refuse admission or remove a participant who is intoxicated, violent, abusive, dangerous, unlawful, damaging property, harassing others, materially disrupting the Experience or repeatedly ignoring instructions. The participant remains responsible for damage caused by intentional, reckless or negligent conduct. Refunds are governed by the applicable booking conditions and mandatory law.
23. Minors and alcohol
Minors must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult. A guide or chef may restrict a minor’s use of knives, heat or other equipment. Alcohol is served only to persons meeting the legal drinking age at the place of performance, and identification may be required. Service may be refused to an intoxicated participant. A non-alcoholic alternative may be offered where reasonably available.
24. Late arrival and no-shows
Participants should arrive at least 10 minutes before the stated start. The Experience may begin without late participants. We may try, but do not guarantee, to help a late participant join later. Late arrival, inability to find the meeting point, no-show or early departure does not automatically entitle a customer to refund or rescheduling. Transport disruption does not change the applicable cancellation policy.
25. Changes or cancellation by Do Eat Better
We may change, postpone, suspend or cancel an Experience because of guide or venue unavailability, unsafe weather, authority action, strikes, public-health or security events, cyber or essential-system failure, changes in law, insufficient participants where a minimum was disclosed, force majeure or other unavoidable circumstances.
If we cancel an Experience in full, the customer will be offered an alternative date, equivalent Experience or refund. Reseller refunds may be processed by the reseller. Except where mandatory law provides otherwise, the refund does not include independently booked travel, accommodation or other expenses. Ordinary rain, heat or cold does not by itself require cancellation.
26. Local suppliers
Independent operators, guides, chefs, restaurants and venues may perform all or part of an Experience and exercise operational control over their own staff, kitchens, premises, ingredients and equipment. Do Eat Better selects suppliers with reasonable professional care and requires compliance with applicable standards.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for matters exclusively caused by unforeseeable supplier misconduct, an unavoidable third-party act, unexpected venue closure, or information or ingredients changed without our knowledge. This does not exclude responsibility legally attributable to Do Eat Better or mandatory consumer rights.
27. Belongings, insurance and photography
Participants are responsible for personal belongings. We are not liable for loss, theft or damage unless legally attributable to us. Appropriate travel or personal insurance is recommended.
Promotional use of identifiable photographs, video or audio is subject to separate consent where required. Participation alone is not irrevocable commercial-image consent. Personal photography is permitted if it does not disrupt the activity, infringe rights or breach venue rules.
Part IV – General Legal Provisions
28. Complaints
Operational problems should be reported immediately so they can be addressed. Later complaints must be sent to hello@doeatbetter.com with the booking reference, channel, date, location, affected participants, details and supporting documents. Payment or refund complaints for reseller bookings must also be directed to the reseller. Mandatory rights and limitation periods are unaffected.
29. Liability
Do Eat Better is responsible for its legal and contractual obligations. To the fullest extent permitted by law, it is not liable for unforeseeable or indirect loss; consumer business losses; loss caused by inaccurate or late customer information; failure to follow safety instructions; or events outside reasonable control that could not be avoided through reasonable professional care.
Nothing excludes or limits liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, wilful misconduct, gross negligence, non-excludable death or personal injury, mandatory food-safety obligations, digital-content conformity obligations or any other non-excludable responsibility.
30. Changes to terms
Updated terms will be published with a revised date. Unless required by law or more favourable, changes apply prospectively and do not retrospectively worsen a confirmed contract.
31. Law and jurisdiction
Direct contracts are governed by Italian law, without prejudice to mandatory rights under the law of a consumer’s habitual residence. Consumer disputes are heard by the court of the consumer’s residence or domicile where required by law. For non-consumer customers, the courts of Genoa have exclusive jurisdiction. Reseller bookings may also be subject to the reseller’s valid governing-law provisions.
32. Language
The Website and these Terms and Conditions are currently provided in English. English is the original and primary reference version adopted by Do Eat Better.
Before completing a Direct Booking, the customer must ensure that they understand the information and contractual terms presented in English. A customer who does not understand them sufficiently should not complete the booking and should contact hello@doeatbetter.com before purchase to request assistance or an available translation.
Any translation made available by Do Eat Better is provided to facilitate understanding and is intended to reflect the English version. The English version may be used as the reference version only to the extent permitted by applicable law. It will not be used to impose a meaning that a consumer could not reasonably understand from the information and terms presented before purchase. Nothing in this section limits mandatory consumer rights, statutory language requirements or the requirement that contractual terms be transparent, clear and intelligible. Ambiguities are resolved under applicable consumer law. For reseller bookings, the booking language and commercial conditions are determined by the reseller’s terms, without prejudice to mandatory law and the requirement that applicable participation and safety rules be communicated effectively to participants.
33. Entire agreement, severability and waiver
For a Direct Booking, the contract consists of the applicable terms, product description, confirmation, fare conditions, specific group or product terms, Privacy Policy for data matters and separate valid consents. Specific written conditions prevail over inconsistent general terms, subject to mandatory law.
If a provision is invalid, the remainder continues and the affected provision applies only to the lawful extent. Delay in exercising a right is not a waiver.
Part V – Website Terms of Use
34. Website scope
The Website at www.thatsalllocal.com is owned and operated by Do Eat Better and may be presented under the That’s All Local brand or trading name. That’s All Local is not a separate contracting entity unless the relevant product information or contract expressly states otherwise. This Part governs access and use. Browsing does not by itself constitute acceptance of purchase conditions. Users who disagree with these Website rules must discontinue use.
35. Permitted use
The Website may be used lawfully for personal, non-commercial purposes, including viewing information, checking availability, booking, contacting support and accessing purchased Digital Products.
Users must not commit fraud; interfere with security or operation; introduce malware; gain unauthorised access; scrape or systematically extract content without authority except where law permits; make speculative bookings; impersonate others; infringe rights; transmit unlawful material; or circumvent access and booking restrictions. Access may be restricted to protect users, suppliers or the Company.
36. Website intellectual property
Website text, images, videos, logos, trademarks, itineraries, recipes, layouts and software are owned by or licensed to Do Eat Better. Users receive a limited, revocable, non-exclusive right of lawful personal access. Unless authorised or permitted by law, users may not republish, sell, sublicense, reproduce substantial parts, remove notices, commercially exploit content or use branding to imply endorsement.
37. Accuracy, availability and security
We use reasonable efforts to keep the Website accurate, available and secure, but content, routes, menus, prices and supplier information may change and temporary errors or interruptions may occur. Maintenance, provider failure, cyber incidents or circumstances outside reasonable control may affect access. Nothing permits misleading commercial information or excludes a legally required standard of care.
38. Third-party services and links
The Website may use payment, booking, mapping, review, analytics, support and social-media services. Their own terms and notices may apply. Links do not necessarily constitute endorsement. We are not responsible for independent third-party operation outside our control, without prejudice to responsibility that remains legally attributable to us.
39. Links to our Website
Lawful and fair linking is permitted if it does not falsely suggest endorsement, damage our reputation, frame the Website misleadingly or appear with unlawful or infringing content. We may reasonably request removal of an unlawful, misleading or harmful link.
40. User content
Where users submit reviews, comments, images or other material, they must have the necessary rights and must not submit unlawful, defamatory, infringing, misleading, confidential, malicious or spam content. Users retain ownership and grant Do Eat Better a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display and technically adapt content for the purpose submitted. Separate consent will be obtained for materially different promotional use where required. We may moderate unlawful or abusive content.
41. Privacy and cookies
Personal data is processed under the Privacy Policy. Cookies and similar technologies are governed by the Cookie Policy and consent-management choices. Those notices are separate from these terms.
42. Website liability and changes
We are responsible for foreseeable loss directly caused by breach of law or failure to exercise required care. Subject to mandatory law, we are not liable for improper user conduct, inaccurate user data, unforeseeable loss, independent third-party websites or unavoidable disruption.
Website functionality and these Website rules may be updated prospectively. Changes do not retrospectively alter confirmed purchases.
Part VI – Package Travel Conditions
43. Application and definition
This Part applies only where a product is expressly identified and legally qualifies as a “Package” under the Italian Tourism Code and applicable EU law. A Package generally combines at least two different types of travel service for the same trip or holiday, such as passenger transport, qualifying accommodation, vehicle rental or another qualifying tourist service.
A standalone food tour, themed walking tour, cooking class or tasting is not a Package merely because it includes several venues, visits, tastings or activities. Package rules generally do not apply to arrangements under 24 hours without overnight accommodation.
Mandatory Package information, the statutory standard form, product description, technical sheet and confirmation supplement this Part and prevail where required.
44. Organiser and protection
Unless expressly stated otherwise, Do Eat Better is the Package organiser and is responsible for performance even when suppliers perform individual services.
Do Eat Better maintains professional liability insurance and insolvency protection as required for its regulated activities. Current insurer, policy and insolvency-protection details will be provided in the Package documents and may be requested at hello@doeatbetter.com. Product documents must be checked for current details before sale.
45. Pre-contractual information
Before the traveller is bound, Do Eat Better or the retailer will provide the statutory standard form and required information, including itinerary, dates, duration, transport, accommodation, meals, visits, organiser and retailer details, total price, payment schedule, minimum participants, passport, visa and health information, accessibility, cancellation rights, insurance and insolvency protection.
Pre-contract information may change before conclusion only where the right to change was reserved and the change is clearly communicated.
46. Package contract and technical sheet
A Package contract is formed when acceptance is confirmed under the communicated process. The traveller receives the contract or confirmation on a durable medium. Each Package technical sheet will state the itinerary, dates, services, accommodation, transport, meals, minimum travellers, payments, standard termination fees, travel requirements, accessibility, organiser or retailer and protection details.
The traveller must promptly check documents and report errors.
47. Package price and payment
The total price and payment schedule are disclosed before booking. A deposit and balance may be required. Proportionate consequences may follow non-payment after any notice required by law.
After conclusion, price increases are permitted only if expressly reserved together with a corresponding reduction right and result directly from changes permitted by law, such as certain transport costs, taxes, fees or exchange rates. A justified calculation must be provided on a durable medium. No increase is permitted in the 20 days before the Package begins. An increase over 8% gives the traveller the rights applicable to a significant change.
48. Transfer
The traveller may transfer the Package to a person meeting all conditions by notice on a durable medium within a reasonable period. Notice at least seven days before start is normally reasonable. Transferor and substitute may be jointly responsible for the balance and actual, reasonable transfer costs, which will be evidenced where required.
49. Changes before start
An insignificant change may be made if the contract reserves that right and the traveller is informed. If a main characteristic must change significantly, an accepted special requirement cannot be met or the price increase exceeds 8%, we will state the change, price effect, decision deadline, consequences of no response where lawful and any substitute Package.
The traveller may accept or terminate without a fee. A lower-quality substitute produces an appropriate reduction. If the traveller terminates without accepting a substitute, required refunds will be made no later than 14 days after termination.
50. Traveller termination
The traveller may terminate at any time before start, subject to an appropriate and justifiable fee. Reasonable standard fees may be stated based on timing, cost savings, expected resale and non-refundable supplier charges. Without a stated standard fee, the charge equals the Package price less savings and income from reallocation. Justification will be provided on request.
The traveller may terminate without a fee where unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances at or near the destination substantially affect performance or transport to it. The traveller receives a full refund but no additional compensation. Required refunds are made within 14 days.
51. Termination by organiser
Do Eat Better may terminate and refund without additional compensation if the disclosed minimum number is not reached and notice is given no later than 20 days before a Package over six days, seven days before a Package of two to six days, or 48 hours before a Package under two days; or if unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances prevent performance and notice is prompt. Required refunds are made within 14 days.
52. Performance and remedies
Do Eat Better is responsible for performance regardless of supplier. The traveller must report lack of conformity without undue delay. We will remedy it unless impossible or disproportionate. If not remedied within a reasonable period, the traveller may take reasonable action and request necessary expenses as allowed by law; no deadline is required if immediate action is necessary or remedy is refused.
If a significant part cannot be provided, suitable alternatives will be offered without extra cost and, where possible, at equivalent or higher quality. Lower quality produces an appropriate reduction. The traveller may reject only a non-comparable alternative or inadequate reduction. Serious unremedied non-conformity may permit termination and required return transport.
53. Reduction, damages and assistance
The traveller may receive an appropriate price reduction for non-conformity unless attributable to the traveller and compensation unless the cause is the traveller, an unrelated unforeseeable or unavoidable third party, or unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances. International conventions and passenger rights remain unaffected; there is no double recovery.
We will provide appropriate assistance to a traveller in difficulty, including relevant health, authority, consular, communication and alternative-arrangement information. A reasonable actual-cost fee may be charged where the difficulty was intentionally or negligently caused by the traveller.
54. Traveller responsibilities
Travellers must provide accurate information; obtain and carry required passports, visas, health and immigration documents; check official advice; disclose special requirements; obey applicable law and reasonable instructions; report problems promptly; mitigate avoidable loss; and cooperate with remedy. We remain responsible for inaccurate mandatory information supplied by us.
55. Package complaints and retailers
Package problems must be reported without undue delay using the contact details in the Package documents and hello@doeatbetter.com. A traveller may also communicate through the retailer where law permits. Retailer terms cannot remove mandatory rights against Do Eat Better as organiser.
No description, waiver or declaration may avoid mandatory Package rights. Package contracts are governed by Italian law subject to mandatory consumer rights and jurisdiction.
Part VII – Digital Content, E-books, Recipe Access and Subscriptions
56. Scope and definitions
This Part applies to digital products supplied directly by Do Eat Better, including downloadable e-books and recipe files (“Digital Content”) and restricted-access recipe libraries, memberships, subscriptions and comparable online functionality (“Digital Services”). Together they are “Digital Products”.
Specific product or plan information displayed before purchase forms part of the contract and states whether the purchase is a one-time download, fixed-term access or recurring subscription.
57. Pre-contract information
Before purchase, we will provide the main characteristics, price, taxes, billing frequency, duration, renewal and cancellation terms, access period, technical protection measures, functionality, compatibility and interoperability reasonably known to us, and any relevant geographic or device restrictions.
The customer must check that their device, software, internet connection and account information meet the disclosed requirements.
58. Formation and supply
A Digital Product order is an offer. A binding contract is formed when payment is accepted and confirmation is issued. Digital Content will be supplied or made accessible without undue delay or at the stated time. A Digital Service will begin at the time or for the period shown in the plan.
Confirmation and required contractual information will be provided on a durable medium. If supply does not occur as agreed, the consumer has the remedies required by applicable law.
59. Accounts and security
Restricted access may require a personal account. The customer must provide accurate information, keep credentials confidential, use reasonable security and promptly report suspected unauthorised access. An account is personal and may not be shared outside any household or user allowance expressly included in the plan.
We may require password reset or verification and may temporarily restrict access to protect the account, Website or other users. The customer is responsible for activity reasonably attributable to failure to protect credentials, but not for unauthorised activity caused by our breach of security obligations.
60. Licence
Subject to payment and compliance, Do Eat Better grants a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access or use the Digital Product for personal, non-commercial purposes during the purchased period.
Unless law or the product terms permit otherwise, the customer must not reproduce beyond reasonable personal copies, distribute, resell, sublicense, publicly display, upload, share access credentials, remove DRM or rights notices, circumvent access controls, scrape the library or use content to train a commercial system or create a competing product.
No intellectual-property ownership is transferred.
61. E-books and downloads
A purchased e-book or downloadable file may be downloaded in the formats and within the download limits stated before purchase. The customer should retain a lawful backup where permitted. Continued re-download is guaranteed only if expressly included.
Formats, page layout and functionality may vary by device or software. We are responsible for disclosed compatibility and conformity requirements, but not for an undisclosed or unsupported third-party configuration.
62. Subscriptions and automatic renewal
A subscription’s price, billing interval, initial term, renewal and cancellation method will be clearly displayed before purchase. Where automatic renewal is offered, it will occur only on the basis of the customer’s valid agreement.
Unless the plan states otherwise, cancellation stops future renewal and access continues until the end of the paid billing period. No partial refund is due solely because the customer stops using the service, except where the plan or mandatory law provides otherwise.
Price changes for a future renewal will be communicated clearly and in sufficient time for the customer to cancel before the new price applies. A fixed paid period will not be repriced retrospectively.
63. Consumer withdrawal rights
Unless an exception applies, a consumer has 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract.
For Digital Content not supplied on a tangible medium, the consumer loses the withdrawal right only after supply begins where the consumer has given prior express consent to immediate supply, acknowledged that the withdrawal right will be lost, and received the legally required confirmation.
The checkout should therefore use a separate unticked acknowledgement substantially stating: “I expressly request immediate access or download and acknowledge that, once supply begins, I lose my 14-day right of withdrawal.”
For a Digital Service beginning during the withdrawal period, performance will begin early only following any express request required by law. If the consumer validly withdraws after requesting early performance, the consumer may owe the proportionate amount permitted by law. Full performance may end the withdrawal right only where all legal conditions are satisfied.
If the legal conditions for loss of withdrawal are not met, the consumer retains the rights provided by law. Nothing in this section removes a right arising from non-conformity.
64. Conformity and updates
Digital Products will conform to the contract and possess the functionality, compatibility, accessibility, continuity, security and other qualities reasonably expected under applicable law, taking account of product information and public statements.
We will supply updates, including security updates, required to maintain conformity for the legally required period. The customer must install updates within a reasonable time after being informed of their availability and consequences. We are not responsible for non-conformity caused solely by failure to install an update where the update and instructions were properly supplied.
For continuous supply, conformity obligations apply throughout the supply period. For one-time supply, applicable statutory periods remain unaffected.
65. Digital remedies
If a Digital Product is not supplied or is non-conforming, the consumer may require supply or restoration of conformity, unless impossible or disproportionate. Remedy will be provided free of charge, within a reasonable time and without significant inconvenience.
Where legally available, the consumer may obtain a proportionate price reduction or terminate, including where remedy is impossible, refused, unsuccessful, unreasonably delayed, causes significant inconvenience or the lack of conformity is sufficiently serious.
On valid termination, required refunds will be made within the statutory period. The consumer must stop using and sharing the Digital Product. Do Eat Better will comply with applicable rules concerning retrieval or use of consumer-provided content.
66. Modifications to Digital Services
We may modify a Digital Service beyond what is necessary for conformity only where the contract permits and provides a valid reason, the modification creates no additional customer cost and clear information is supplied.
If a modification materially and negatively affects access or use, the consumer will receive advance information on a durable medium and any right to terminate within the legally applicable period, unless the consumer may retain the unmodified service without extra cost.
Valid reasons may include security, legal compliance, technical evolution, supplier changes and reasonable improvements, but may not be used to remove the essential paid functionality without the remedies required by law.
67. Availability and maintenance
Restricted Digital Services may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, security, updates, provider failure or circumstances outside reasonable control. We will use reasonable efforts to minimise disruption. Planned material maintenance will be notified where reasonably possible.
This section does not remove conformity rights for repeated, prolonged or material unavailability.
68. Suspension and termination for breach
We may proportionately suspend or terminate access for payment failure, fraud, credential sharing, unlawful use, security threats, infringement or material breach. Where appropriate, we will give notice and a reasonable opportunity to remedy unless immediate action is necessary for security, law or protection of others.
Suspension or termination will not prejudice mandatory remedies, refunds or access to customer data. A minor breach will not justify disproportionate forfeiture of prepaid access.
69. Recipes, allergens and cooking information
Recipes and culinary content are general informational and educational material, not medical, nutritional or professional food-safety advice.
Ingredients, brands and substitutions vary. A recipe may not identify every allergen present in a particular branded ingredient or cross-contamination environment. Users must read product labels, verify ingredients, consider their own allergies and dietary conditions, prevent cross-contact and follow applicable storage, hygiene, temperature and cooking-safety guidance.
Users with severe allergies, medical dietary conditions, pregnancy-related concerns or other health risks should seek qualified professional advice. They must not rely solely on a recipe’s dietary label, such as “gluten-free”, “vegan” or “nut-free”, without independently verifying all ingredients and preparation conditions.
Do Eat Better is responsible for accuracy and safety to the extent required by law but does not control the ingredients, equipment, environment, substitutions or preparation methods chosen by the user.
70. Third-party devices and services
Use may depend on browsers, operating systems, app stores, PDF readers, payment services or internet providers. Third-party terms may apply. We are not responsible for an unsupported configuration or independent service outside our control, without prejudice to disclosed compatibility and legal conformity obligations.
71. Digital Product intellectual property
Digital Product text, photographs, video, recipes, design, databases, software and branding are owned by or licensed to Do Eat Better. Copyright protects the selection, expression, photography, instructions and compilation, without claiming exclusive rights over unprotectable ideas or basic ingredient facts.
Infringement may lead to suspension and lawful enforcement. Nothing restricts statutory quotation, accessibility, private-copying or other mandatory exceptions.
72. Digital privacy
Account, payment, usage and preference data is processed under the Privacy Policy. Optional marketing requires an appropriate legal basis. Subscription cancellation does not automatically require deletion of data that must be retained for legal, accounting, security or claims purposes.
73. Digital liability and mandatory rights
Do Eat Better does not guarantee that a Digital Product will meet every subjective preference or operate on an undisclosed unsupported device. Subject to mandatory law, we are not responsible for loss caused solely by misuse, unauthorised modification, ignored updates, insecure credentials or failure to follow cooking and allergen precautions.
Nothing excludes statutory conformity remedies, data-protection obligations, liability for fraud, wilful misconduct or gross negligence, or any other non-excludable consumer right.
74. Digital governing provisions
The general law, jurisdiction, language, complaint, severability and change provisions apply to Digital Products. Any plan-specific term prevails only where clearly disclosed before purchase and legally valid.
Consumers may contact hello@doeatbetter.com for access, billing, withdrawal, conformity, accessibility or cancellation assistance.

75. Applicable version
For Direct Bookings and Digital Products, the version made available before the contract becomes binding applies. For reseller purchases, the reseller’s contractual conditions govern the commercial booking, while Do Eat Better participation rules operate only as reasonable safety and conduct guidance. For Packages, mandatory package documentation and product-specific terms form part of the contract. Mandatory law prevails in every case.
